Happy Birthday Arnold!

On July 30, it was once again time to celebrate Arnold’s birthday! Hundreds of fans, long-time companions and friends of the museum gathered to sing “Happy Birthday” to congratulate Arnold on his 78th birthday.

The sportsmanship of our visitors was put to the test! Numerous participants stepped up to face our pull-up challenge head-on. Particularly impressive was the performance of 83-year-old Werner Wistuba, who set the record to beat with 18 pull-ups. Congratulations to all the winners, who went home with great prizes!

In addition to muscle power, brains were also required. In two
exciting quiz rounds, we tested our visitors’ knowledge of Arnold’s film career. The clever minds that came out on top also received great prizes – congratulations!

To mark the 55th anniversary of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first Mr. Olympia title, the museum in Thal presents a new special exhibition. It highlights his journey to becoming a bodybuilding icon – featuring original training equipment, trophies, and exclusive material. On display now through the end of October 2025!

Of course, a birthday cake was not to be missed!
Governor Christopher Drexler had the honor of cutting it. Arnold himself was sadly not on site to have a piece, but we connected him live from his film set in Toronto. In a heartfelt video call, Arnold thanked us for the birthday serenade and the many congratulations and told us that he would enjoy his birthday despite having to work.

A big thank you to our loyal and ever-growing museum community! You made this day very special. As a place of inspiration, it is our wish that you went home invigorated and full of new energy.
