On the occasion of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 66th birthday (in 2013), this special bronze relief was designed by Professor Josef Lehner. As a “limited edition” only 15 pieces were made in total. The front shows the profile of Arnie as governor, the back shows the Styrian state coat of arms and the coat of arms of Thal with the inscription: “Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum Thal”.
Weight approx. 2300 g, height 130 mm, width 105 mm.

The Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum and the Karl-Franzen-University Graz have started an exciting cooperation. The aim is to give students the opportunity to get to know everyday museum life and to contribute innovative ideas.

A sign of diversity and unity!
As an international superstar and former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger represents diversity and international unity. These deeply rooted values are now reflected in our new flag benches that we have set up for you in the museum park. As a symbol against racism, the flag bench initiative with the motto “#HierIstPlatzFürAlle” was launched by the students of 5A HLW Graz in social management.
We were happy to take up this message! We welcome visitors from all over the world and we also have #PlaceForAll. During the school holidays, Magdalena, Bianca and Hannah designed two more flag banks for us. Thank you very much for your great work!
Arnold Schwarzenegger is also very proud of the great work and emphasizes: “There is #PlaceForAll in our museum, and I promise: I’ll be back!”
Of course, a signed photo with personal praise should not be missing.

The Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum is hosting an art competition to promote artistic talent.
With the start of the competition on June 15th, 2023, you can submit your works of art on the topic of “Arnie’s Life” by email or post until August 31st, 2023.
The addresses are shown below. You are also welcome to bring your creations to the museum in person. Which aspect of Arnold’s life you would like to work on artistically is entirely up to you. There are also no limits to the choice of artistic means of expression. You can find out what you still need to consider and how you can register here.
The submitted works of art will be presented in the museum during the art competition. As a participant, you are also invited to personally present your works of art as part of the celebrations on July 30, 2023 to mark Arnie’s 76th birthday in the museum’s garden.
The best of all artistic objects will ultimately be exhibited in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum for a year. In addition, other attractive prizes await the talented participants!

On September, 23, 2017 a vast number of visitors witnessed the second official Transformers-Art exhibition opening of the “Baha Fine Art Galerie” in Thal. The near Graz located museum, which is focused on the life and work of Arnold Schwarzenegger, has entered a promising cooperation with the artist Danilo Baletić in order to make these giant robots available to the public under the motto: “Arnie meets Transformers Art” until Spring 2018. This exhibition is not only most impressive, but furthermore educating and will make visitors aware of the importance of recycling and the danger of the “Robotification of Society”.

Along with his daughter Christina and some close friends, Arnold visited his hometown on March, 24, 2017.
His visit was not announced, as it is often the case. Approximately two hours prior the museum staff was informed about this visit. Arnold travelled to his home country, because of the closing ceremony of the Special Olympics in Graz that was scheduled on March, 25, 2017.
Despite the spontaneous nature of his visit, word of mouth spread and media representatives as well as fans flocked to Thal.

Along with celebrating Arnold’s 69th birthday (Juy, 30, 1947) the “Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum” is commemorating its 5th anniversary on-site in Thal. Another reason for the party is the successful renovation of the “Arnold Schwarzenegger Wanderweg” that was opened back in 2004.
The party takes place on July, 30, 2016 from 10 am – 6 pm in any kind of weather. In case of rain tents will be organised
At 10:30 am the E-Bike charging station will be put into operation in the museum park. In this context the exclusive Arnold Schwarzenegger trolleys from the company “Trolleyboy” will be presented along with a competition.
The start for the walking tour is scheduled for 11 am at the new signpost on the parking lot. Under the special direction of Peter Urdl, a former class mate of Arnold, close friend and museum initiator, every waypoint of the “Arnold Schwarzenegger Wanderweg” will be explained in detail. Highlight of the hike will be the world premiere of the rediscovery of Arnold’s old trainings locations close by the Thalersee at 12:30 pm. There, Arnold’s former trainer Kurt Marnul and colleague Karl Kainrath will tell stories about their time with the “Styrian Oak” until 1:30 pm. Then the programme continues at the museum.
At 2pm the cutting of the birthday cake by Arnold’s friends will take place
From 2:30 pm tickets of each participant are drawn and the 20 winners of the “Trolley-Competition” will be announced.
Culinary delights will be provided

Prior to the start of the American Football season two players of the local team “Graz Giant” – Clinton Floyd & O’Neil Blake – were visiting the “Arnold Schwarzenegger Museum”. The “Kleine Zeitung” reported from the event.

Under the special direction of Alex Rehak, the “Styrian Strong Meng feat. Franz Moser” were presenting the song “Young, Strong & Healthy”. As you can see in the video the atmosphere was good.
